Car carrying 6 people plunged into abyss on Dai Ninh pass

On the evening of December 13th, authorities in Binh Thuan province announced that the vehicle rollover accident on Dai Ninh pass in Bac Binh district had been resolved.

Earlier that afternoon, a 7-seater car was traveling from Lam Dong to Binh Thuan. Upon reaching kilometer 44 in Phan Lam commune, Bac Binh district, the car plunged into the ravine on Dai Ninh pass.

There were six people in the car, and thankfully, no one was injured. Local residents rescued the occupants, pulling them out of the more than 20-meter-deep ravine.

According to local residents, it rained in the Dai Ninh pass area on the afternoon of December 13th.

Previously, in July 2022, a 30-seat passenger bus carrying many women and children also plunged into a ravine at this location, injuring several people.

Dai Ninh Pass has many hairpin bends and sections of poor road. The route through this pass – National Highway 28B – is currently undergoing a renovation and upgrading project.
