After two days (July 12-13) of serious, united, democratic, and innovative work, the 27th Congress of the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station for the 2025-2030 term concluded successfully, completing all the planned content and programs.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory floral arrangement to the Congress.
Attending and directing the Congress, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, commended and acknowledged the important efforts, contributions, and encouraging achievements of the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station during the past term.
As the national radio station, the Voice of Vietnam effectively fulfills its political function of informing and disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations. It contributes to educating and raising the intellectual level of the people, serving their spiritual lives, and successfully completing its assigned functions and tasks, as well as the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 26th National Congress.
Emphasizing that for Vietnam to enter a new era, becoming a rich and prosperous nation, setting new requirements with high determination and great aspirations, and upholding the 100-year tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism and 80 years of glorious and heroic companionship with the country's development, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh expressed his confidence that the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam Radio is truly a sharp instrument of the Party and State on the ideological and cultural front, making worthy contributions to achieving the country's goals.
The Voice of Vietnam needs to do even better in fulfilling its assigned political tasks, deeply understand its exceptionally noble political and social responsibilities before the Party, the State, and the people, and promote its role as a leading, multi-format, multi-media, multi-platform media agency in the region, developing rapidly and sustainably, serving as a bridge connecting the Party's will and the people's aspirations; effectively carry out the task of bringing the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people; and strive to become a national radio station of international stature by 2045, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the nation, which is also the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Voice of Vietnam - Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized.
The Congress elected 25 comrades to the Party Committee Executive Board for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrade Do Tien Sy, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, and Director General of the Voice of Vietnam Radio, was re-elected by the Congress to continue serving as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam Radio for the term 2025-2030.
With the theme of upholding heroic traditions; enhancing leadership capacity and fighting strength, building a clean and strong Party Committee; promoting innovation, creativity, and digital transformation; and developing the Voice of Vietnam Radio into a professional, modern, and humane organization, the 27th Congress of the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam Radio thoroughly reviewed the implementation of the Resolution of the 26th Congress, term 2020-2025; drew lessons, and determined directions, goals, tasks, and breakthrough solutions to lead the implementation of political tasks in the 5-year term 2025-2030.
During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) completed and exceeded the set plan targets. Specifically, the station implemented the government's plan for the development and management of the press; developed its domestic and international information on a multi-media, multi-type, multi-platform, and multi-language communication system; built and put into operation the South Central Broadcasting Station (East Sea Broadcasting Station); expanded the VOV Traffic Channel system along the North-Central-South transportation route and in major cities; transformed program production technology, applied new technologies, and utilized artificial intelligence (AI) in operational processes, content management, and content provision and distribution.
The Voice of Vietnam achieved a staff reduction rate of 10% by 2021 compared to the allocated staffing level in 2015; 20% of grassroots Party organizations completed their tasks excellently; over 60% of grassroots Party organizations completed their tasks well; and no grassroots Party organizations failed to complete their tasks.
