The Cannes Film Festival's official website has just announced the list of films that will be screened and participating in Cannes 2024.

Set between the 1970s and 1980s, the film depicts the former president as a "Wall Street wolf," trying to build his fortune through real estate.
According to the producers, the film will delve into the "underworld" of contemporary American politics , with a young Donald Trump attempting to climb the ladder of power through a "deal with the devil" with renowned lawyer and political consultant Roy Cohn.

Playing the young Donald Trump is actor Sebastian Stan, famous to Vietnamese and international audiences for his role as The Winter's Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
At first glance, it's hard to imagine how this handsome actor could possibly play a man with a square face and who looks older than his age, like Mr. Trump.
However, the actor's hairstyle, reminiscent of Trump's "trademark," was captured by a photographer while the film crew was traveling through New York for filming, and indeed, he looked quite similar to the former US president when he was younger.
Maria Bakalova, the first Bulgarian actress to be nominated for an Oscar, will play Ivana Trump, Trump's first wife.
Meanwhile, American actor Martin Donovan was chosen to play Fred Trump Sr., Trump's father.
The film The Apprentice is among the opening films at this year's Cannes Film Festival, alongside Megalopolis , directed by the legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, and Kind of Kindness , directed by Yorrgos Lanthimos, who made a splash last year with Poor Things.
Interestingly, the film's title is also the name of the reality TV show The Apprentice, which ran from 2004 until Trump became president.
The aforementioned program is where participants will overcome challenges for a chance to work under billionaire Donald Trump.
