Promoting the spirit of dedication and pioneering among young people.

On the morning of December 14th, the An Giang Provincial Youth Union held its first Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress reviewed the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement over the past period, and identified tasks and solutions to promote the spirit of dedication and pioneering of young people in the new era. Mr. Phan Duy Bang (pictured) - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - spoke with reporters about this event.

- Reporter: Could you tell us what tasks and solutions the Provincial Youth Union has set forth to successfully implement the resolution of the congress for the 2025-2030 term?

- Mr. Phan Duy Bang: In the new term, the Youth Union at all levels in the province will continue to focus on and regularly and effectively implement the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; innovate and improve the effectiveness, substance, and educational value of the content and forms of studying and following Uncle Ho, linking it with the implementation of political tasks and addressing weaknesses and difficulties. At the same time, develop models of learning clubs, scientific research teams, and youth community learning centers... linking learning with the cultivation of ethics, conduct, and life skills, forming a generation of young people with knowledge, skills, and character to meet the development requirements of the province and the country.

In all activities of the Youth Union, it is essential to truly trust, respect, and promote the central position and leading role of young people; persistently implementing the motto "Young people know, young people discuss, young people do, young people inspect, young people supervise, young people benefit." Regularly survey and gather feedback from Youth Union members and young people after each campaign, program, and activity of the Youth Union to learn from experience and make appropriate adjustments.

The Provincial Youth Union continues to promote the youth entrepreneurship movement, develop a network connecting young entrepreneurs and intellectuals; support rural youth in applying scientific and technical advancements, transforming crop and livestock structures, and participating in product value chains, thereby fostering self-reliance, aspirations for advancement, and legitimate wealth creation, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.

The Provincial Youth Union advises the Party Committee to assign young, talented cadres from government agencies, Party organizations, the Fatherland Front , and other mass organizations to work in the Youth Union; organizes recruitment and attracts excellent, outstanding, and talented young students to suitable positions within the Youth Union's organizational system. At the same time, it studies mechanisms for screening and promptly replacing cadres who do not meet the job requirements.

Regarding the care and education of children and young people, the Youth Union at all levels in the province continues to uphold the motto "All for our beloved children," focusing on the comprehensive and effective implementation of activities to care for and educate children and young people, especially in remote areas, border regions, islands, and industrial zones. The Youth Union at all levels in the province plays a core role in preventing, detecting, supporting, intervening in, and promptly handling cases of child abuse, violence, and school violence; and closely coordinates with families, schools, and society to build a safe, healthy, and friendly environment for children.

- Reporter: During the 2025-2030 term, what key programs and projects will the Provincial Youth Union continue to implement to develop youth, sir?

- Mr. Phan Duy Bang: The Provincial Youth Union continues to implement the project approved by the Prime Minister in the strategy for the development of Vietnamese youth in the period 2021 - 2030, including: Educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for young people in cyberspace in the period 2022 - 2030; discovering, nurturing, and promoting young Vietnamese talents in the period 2022 - 2030; supporting youth entrepreneurship in the period 2022 - 2030; improving foreign language skills and international integration for Vietnamese youth in the period 2022 - 2030; strengthening the capacity to manage and coordinate volunteer activities for the staff of the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union Federation, and the Vietnam Student Union at all levels in the period 2022 - 2030.

With the spirit of "An Giang youth: courageous, united, creative, aspirational, and developing," the First Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province, term 2025-2030, calls on all cadres, union members, and young people to strive to study, work creatively, and compete to successfully implement the resolutions set forth by the congress.
