Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of January 9, the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation held a conference to review activities in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.

Complete tasks well according to the program and plan

In 2024, implementing the plan of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the working program of the Delegation, the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City has carried out many activities. With a large amount of work, the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City has successfully completed its tasks according to the program and plan set out in all areas of work such as: law making, supervision, voter contact, citizen reception...

The supervision and survey work was carried out by the Delegation on schedule, with carefully prepared content, strictly implemented in accordance with procedures, effectively, and at the end of the supervision and survey period, the Delegation reported the results to the National Assembly Standing Committee and relevant agencies. The work of drafting the Law has been increasingly strengthened to collect opinions from experts, scientists and relevant agencies, units and organizations related to the scope of the Law.

The activities of contacting voters of the National Assembly deputies in the Delegation continued to be innovated, becoming increasingly rich and diverse. The coordination between agencies and units in organizing meetings to contact voters of the National Assembly deputies of Hanoi City basically met the requirements. The work of receiving citizens was carried out by the National Assembly deputies according to the assigned schedule.

The National Assembly deputies attended the sessions in full numbers; many National Assembly deputies actively participated in discussions in the Group and the Hall; the opinions expressed were carefully and thoughtfully studied and prepared by the National Assembly deputies in the Delegation, demonstrating awareness and responsibility. Many opinions were accepted by the National Assembly Standing Committee, contributing significantly to improving the quality of the National Assembly sessions.

During its operations, the City National Assembly Delegation always maintains close coordination with the National Assembly Committees, the National Assembly Office, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the City Fatherland Front Committee. In her concluding remarks, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation is a united collective, coordinating to comprehensively implement the 2024 work plan. In particular, the Delegation has contributed and closely coordinated with the Party Committee, government and functional agencies of the City to submit to the National Assembly for approval of the Capital Law (amended) with an almost absolute number of votes. With outstanding mechanisms and policies, the Law has opened up conditions for the Capital City of Hanoi to firmly take off in the new era of development of the country.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee said that immediately after the Law was passed, the City Party Committee directed very strongly, the City People's Committee urgently and promptly submitted to the City People's Council to promulgate and specify mechanisms and policies under its authority to implement the Capital Law from January 1, 2025. Thereby contributing to quickly bringing the mechanisms and policies of the Law into life.

Along with that, the City National Assembly Delegation has coordinated with the Party Committee and the government to develop and complete the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; the project to adjust the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065, to submit to the National Assembly for approval. Recently, these two plans were officially approved by the Prime Minister.

With sincere thanks to the City Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council for creating favorable conditions for the organization of very good and thoughtful coordination of meetings with voters before and after the session, the Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation emphasized that this is a condition for National Assembly deputies to successfully exercise their rights and obligations. At the same time, he requested the Delegation to continue to perform well the work of supervision, citizen reception, and settlement of voters' petitions of National Assembly deputies.

Emphasizing that 2025 is a year of special importance, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai asked National Assembly deputies to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity and high responsibility to fulfill the tasks of elected representatives as well as the tasks set forth by the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation.
