The second mock "Children's Parliament" session - 2024 took place in the Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly Building, on the morning of September 29, 2024. The event was chaired by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, in coordination with the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, the National Assembly Office, and relevant ministries and agencies.
On the morning of September 28th, within the framework of the second "Children's Parliament" mock session program in 2024, a delegation of outstanding children from across the country visited the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh and offered incense at the Bac Son Martyrs' Memorial.

Before the session began, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate the compatriots, soldiers, and children who lost their lives due to the recent storms and floods.
The second mock session of the "Children's Parliament" in 2024 was attended by National Assembly Chairwoman Tran Thanh Man; former Politburo member and former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; former Central Committee Secretary and former Vice President Truong My Hoa - Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund; former Central Committee member and former Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning; Central Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; and Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long.
Also attending the session were members of the Central Committee of the Party, members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly; leaders of central committees, ministries and branches, the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, and the Standing Committee of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers.
The second mock "Children's Parliament" session in 2024 will be held from September 27-29, 2024 in Hanoi, with the participation of 306 delegates who are outstanding young Pioneers from 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
The mock "Children's Parliament" session serves as a forum for children to express their voices, thoughts, and aspirations; it also provides a political exercise aimed at nurturing dreams and building great ambitions for children, the future owners of the country; and demonstrates the concern of Party and State leaders, the National Assembly, and the entire society for children and the work of protecting, caring for, and educating young people.

This is also a new operational model that promotes children's participation in issues related to children, in accordance with their psychology and abilities, creating conditions for children to develop their capacity and skills in expressing opinions, viewpoints, and awareness, and to participate in the decision-making process on issues related to children.
