On October 24, Comrade Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Standing member of the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee on implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW, and the working delegation visited and worked at Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC) and surveyed science , technology and innovation activities in the city.

The delegation visited QTSC Digital Technology Center; Co-working Space model - The Sentry (Space to support innovative startups) at Orbital 2.0 building; Innovation Center of Tuong Minh Software Solutions Company Limited (TMA Solutions); Open Innovation Center - SOIHUB, and discussed with startups.

At the Open Innovation Center - SOIHUB, a startup representative introduced a bioplastic product that can decompose naturally in the environment, using technology to convert biological waste and plant-based materials into plastic.

The products are used in flexible packaging, rigid packaging, medical applications and serve customers in the most demanding markets (EU, North America, Asia). The solution helps solve the problem of greenhouse gas emissions from discarded bio-waste by recycling and returning waste to the circular economy .

Assessing that this product is suitable for the development orientation of green economy and circular economy in Con Dao special economic zone, comrade Dang Minh Thong suggested that the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City and related departments and branches research and coordinate to distribute the product in Con Dao, contributing to limiting plastic waste and protecting the marine environment.

Previously, working with QTSC leaders, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong praised QTSC's efforts in maintaining its leading position in the IT ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City. He hoped that QTSC would continue to promote its infrastructure advantages, expand international cooperation, and promote key projects such as the Data Center and Smart Operations Center, aiming to become a digital technology corporation of Ho Chi Minh City.

On the same day, the delegation conducted a survey at the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Startup and Innovation Support (SIHUB) - a unit under the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, with the role of incubating hundreds of startup projects each year, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City into a creative city and a leading startup center in the region.
