Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference visits former President Tran Duc Luong

Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Hu Chunhua visited the Vietnamese Embassy in China to pay his respects to formerPresident Tran Duc Luong.

Attending with Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Hu Chunhua were leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Speaking to Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Hu Chunhua expressed deep condolences and sympathies to the Party, State and people of Vietnam over the great loss of former President Tran Duc Luong; and conveyed condolences and warm regards from the leaders of the Chinese Party and Government to the leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State and the family of former President Tran Duc Luong.

Emphasizing that former President Tran Duc Luong was an outstanding leader of Vietnam, who made important contributions to Vietnam's renovation cause and Vietnam-China relations, Mr. Ho Xuan Hoa expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will turn pain into strength and continue to achieve greater achievements in the cause of renovation and building socialism in Vietnam.

The Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference affirmed that the Party, Government and people of China attach great importance to the comprehensive cooperative partnership with Vietnam, and are willing to work with the Party, State and people of Vietnam to promote the traditional friendship, jointly build a Community of Shared Future of strategic significance, and continuously develop bilateral relations and achieve even greater achievements.

On the same day, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji, and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning sent wreaths to the Embassy to pay their respects to former President Tran Duc Luong.
