Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council Huynh Thuy Van works in An Vinh commune

(GLO) - On July 9th, Ms. Huynh Thuy Van, Vice Chairwoman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, visited, worked with, and inspected the operational situation in An Vinh commune.

During the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thuy Van listened to the leaders of An Vinh commune report on the advantages and difficulties the commune faced after the merger.

Accordingly, the commune currently has a natural area of ​​196.19 km2 and a population of 6,522 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 97%. The majority of the people live by agricultural production, so they face many difficulties.

After transitioning to a two-tiered local government model, An Vinh commune has encountered several challenges, including limited infrastructure, untimely provision of equipment, and software system issues such as connection errors and slow login times.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thuy Van shared her understanding of the difficulties faced by officials and civil servants of An Vinh commune. The Vice Chairman also highly appreciated the commune's efforts in implementing the tasks of the two-level local government.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the leaders of An Vinh commune to focus intensely on preparing for the commune's Party Congress and the elections of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The commune Party Committee directed the Standing Committee of the People's Council to closely coordinate with the People's Committee to organize the mid-year regular session, paying particular attention to the issuance of resolutions on finance and budget as well as contents related to the socio-economic development tasks for the last six months of the year.

During an inspection at the An Vinh Commune Public Administrative Service Center, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thuy Van visited and encouraged the staff to overcome immediate difficulties and promptly meet the needs of the people in a convenient, open, and transparent manner.
