Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc assessed that Dong Nai has great potential and opportunities to promote the development of high-tech industry, processing industry, heavy industry, etc. to become the leading province in the country in economic growth.

On August 15th, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc held a working session with the People's Committee of Dong Nai province regarding socio -economic development in 2025 and addressing difficulties and obstacles in the area.

After hearing the report from the leaders of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the province's efforts in land clearance and resolving obstacles, ensuring the supply of construction materials for component 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project. He also requested that the relevant units coordinate closely and focus their efforts on construction to ensure that component 1 is completed on schedule and with guaranteed quality.

Also at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the socio-economic achievements of Dong Nai province; and noted that the locality has a strategic location, convenient transportation, is the 4th largest economy in the country, the 5th most populous province, has fertile land with an area ranking 9th in the country, and a developed industry…

"These are enormous potentials and opportunities for Dong Nai province to accelerate the development of high-tech industries, processing industries, heavy industries, etc., thereby surpassing other provinces to become the leading province in the country in terms of both economic growth and economic scale," Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc stated.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in the coming period, Dong Nai province should promote the spirit of solidarity, maximize its potential and advantages, focus on removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses and economic sectors; and continue to accelerate the development of strategic transportation infrastructure that promotes socio-economic development.

Regarding the operation of the two-tiered local government system, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Dong Nai to pay special attention to personnel management, ensuring that the right people are assigned to the right jobs; and to research and develop appropriate mechanisms and policies to attract and assign information technology personnel to the commune level.

Regarding the handling of surplus office buildings, the Deputy Prime Minister directed: "Office buildings that can handle administrative procedures for citizens or provide more convenient working conditions should continue to be used or converted into cultural centers or schools. The rest should be disposed of through auction to generate revenue for the state budget."
