The clinic that was 'exposed' in Quy Nhon has not provided enough information to the authorities.

On July 8, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health said that by the end of July 7, Phuong Dat General Clinic had not yet provided full information to the relevant department to denounce the "overcharging" of patients.

On July 8th, Mr. Le Quang Hung, Director of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health , stated that as of the end of July 7th, Phuong Dat Multi-Specialty Clinic had still not provided the Department of Health with complete information regarding the alleged overcharging of patients.

Therefore, today (July 8th), the working group of the Department of Health continued working at this clinic to clarify the information that had been reported.

At the same time, the working group of the Department of Health will review the entire implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment at the clinic.

Meanwhile, Ms. Vu Thi Duyen, the clinic manager, said that on the afternoon of July 7, representatives from the clinic went to the Department of Health to provide information about the incident, but because the agency was busy with meetings until after working hours, they were unable to provide the information.

Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre Online , a Facebook account named Truong Oanh posted an article exposing the Phuong Dat Multi-Specialty Clinic in Quy Nhon ward, Gia Lai province. The post was subsequently shared on various social media groups and attracted considerable attention.

Specifically, on July 5th, patient NC (48 years old) came to the clinic and was charged nearly 9 million VND for 2 hours of treatment. The receipt was vague and did not specify the service. The patient had frequent nighttime urination and painful urination, but the clinic directed him to a urology clinic.

According to receipts photographed and posted online by this account holder, the clinic issued four receipts to patient NC. One receipt recorded a treatment fee of 6.2 million VND; another for bed rest of 1.2 million VND; a laboratory fee of 800,000 VND; and a medication fee of 660,000 VND.

The clinic confirmed that the contents of these receipts are accurate, and the total amount collected from the patient was nearly 9 million VND.

To clarify the matter, the reporter requested the clinic to provide a specific list of medications, medical supplies, and medical techniques used to treat the patient, but Ms. Duyen refused to provide it, citing that she had already explained the situation to the Department of Health.

Ms. Duyen also refused to provide information about the patient's condition upon admission, the professional diagnoses, and the treatment methods used. Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
