Hanoi women share and support flood victims in Lao Cai and Yen Bai

Accordingly, with the spirit of "the less torn leaves cover the more torn leaves", in 2 days, the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Club, under the Hanoi Women's Education and Development Support Center (Hanoi Women's Union) mobilized benefactors to support nearly 1,000 gifts including essential items to transport to support units in Lao Cai province on September 14, including: Thinh Tuong commune, Bat Xat district and Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district; Thinh Tuong Border Guard Station, Bat Xat district; Lao Cai General Hospital (where injured patients from Lang Nu village were treated); and gave gifts to Lao Cai Ethnic Boarding School - where students lost their loved ones.

Essential items were given to over 500 people such as: cakes, milk, drinking water, clothes, blankets, common medicines, towels, soap, toothpaste, moon cakes... The total value of money and gifts is over 230 million VND.

Along with that, through the support of philanthropists, the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Club also collected and sent 30 gift bags of books and clothes to Yen Bai people.

Directly coming and giving gifts to people in the flooded area of ​​Lao Cai, Director of the Center for Vocational Education and Support for Women's Development in Hanoi Nguyen Thi Hao said: the gifts and the amount of money, although not much, are the sentiments of female entrepreneurs in the capital, sharing the hope that people in the flooded area will soon overcome the loss and pain to return to a stable life.

Not only supporting people in flood-affected areas in the northern mountainous provinces, the Hanoi Center for Vocational Education and Women's Development Support has also connected with the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction and Building Materials to visit and give gifts to people in flooded areas in Hanoi. Accordingly, on September 14, the units visited and gave gifts to 300 households in communes that are still flooded in Chuong My district with a total cost of 100 million VND; presented 200 gifts in Quoc Oai district; presented 100 gifts to female freelance workers in Phuc Xa ward, Ba Dinh district with a total value of 170 million VND.
