In Italy, Paul Pogba's B sample tested positive, meaning his suspension could be for a year.
On October 6th, Gazzetta reported that Pogba's B sample tested positive, just like sample A. Previously, after the Juventus-Udinese Serie A match on August 21st, the Serie A organizers took a sample, even though Pogba was only on the bench. The banned substance found in his body was DHEA, a substance that can increase testosterone levels.
After sample A tested positive, the Italian Anti-Doping Court imposed a temporary ban and gave Pogba three days to request a test for sample B. With both samples testing positive, Pogba will be sidelined for at least two years. The sentence could increase to four years if the court proves the player intentionally used a banned substance.

According to Sky Sports , Pogba could face dismissal from Juventus, a plea deal, or a trial. The 30-year-old midfielder has only played 12 games for Juventus since the summer of 2022, including two this season. The Italian club is paying Pogba a salary of $8.3 million per year.
"The club reserves the right to review further procedures," Juventus stated upon receiving notification that sample A tested positive on September 11th.
Pogba was once a top player, but his career has been turbulent since returning to Man Utd in 2016. During his six years with the "Red Devils," the 2018 World Cup winner frequently faced criticism for his attitude and the pressure of his $116 million transfer fee. After returning to Juventus on a free transfer, he missed almost the entire 2022-2023 season due to injury.
Pogba has also had trouble off the pitch. Last year, a group of armed, masked men broke into his apartment in Paris, France, to threaten him and demand millions of dollars for "protection services." His brother, Mathias, subsequently served three months in jail while police investigated his role in the extortion scheme.
"Money changes people, it can tear a family apart and create a war," Pogba said after the blackmail allegations. "Sometimes I think I don't need money and I don't want to play football anymore. I just want to be a normal person, for people to love me for who I am, not for fame or money. Sometimes that's difficult."
Pogba's greatest achievement was winning the 2018 World Cup with the French national team. In the final, a 4-2 victory over Croatia, the 30-year-old midfielder scored a crucial goal to make it 3-1. Last year, due to injury at Juventus, Pogba missed the opportunity to defend his title with the French national team in Qatar. At club level, he has won four Serie A titles with Juventus and one Europa League title with Manchester United.
