On the afternoon of October 6th, at the National Assembly building, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai received Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, President of the World University Service (WUS) of the Federal Republic of Germany and authorized representative of the State of Hessen, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
Appreciating Dr. Kambiz Ghawami's contributions to strengthening and developing the friendship, cooperation and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany in general and Hessen State in particular in many fields, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to develop the Strategic Partnership with Germany in general and Hessen State in particular.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the population field is an important content that the Vietnamese National Assembly is interested in with new perspectives, considering this as the driving force of growth and needs incentive policies to have a young workforce in the future.
With increasingly practical and effective cooperation between the parliamentary bodies of the two countries, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his hope that the two countries would continue to have many cooperative activities in training, fostering and sharing knowledge through exchange programs, inviting experts and scientists from Vietnam and Germany to participate; exchanging experiences in areas where Germany has strengths; and actively implementing activities towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the State of Hessen.
Expressing his hope that Dr. Kambiz Ghawami would continue to contribute to the development of relations between Vietnam and Germany in general, and with the state of Hessen in particular, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized the exchange of experiences in building an e-parliament, digital transformation, technology transfer; promoting the role of the Vietnamese-German University; and financial and budgetary management...
Thanking the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly for taking the time to meet, Dr. Kambiz Ghawami expressed his interest in the draft Law on Population, which is expected to be submitted to the Vietnamese National Assembly at its upcoming 10th session.
Dr. Kambiz Ghawami affirmed that, with his affection and sense of responsibility, he will continue to make practical contributions to deepen and enhance the effectiveness of the Vietnam-Germany Strategic Partnership; he expressed confidence that the cooperative relationship between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the German Parliament, including the State of Hessen, will continue to be strengthened, enhanced, and developed positively.
