Quang Ngai transfers 290 officials to anti-corruption positions

This is an important section in the report on anti-corruption and anti-negative practices by the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, prepared for the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Among the units implementing job rotations, the highest number were the Department of Health with 52 officials rotated; the People's Committee of Nghia Hanh district with 31 officials; the People's Committee of Quang Ngai city with 30 officials; the Department of Transport and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development each with 22 officials rotated; the People's Committee of Binh Son district with 21 officials rotated; and the People's Committee of Son Tinh district with 17 officials...

From October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, Quang Ngai province also conducted inspections and checks at 35 units in implementing transparency in organization and operation, discovering many shortcomings but not to the extent that they had to be handled.

Inspections and audits of the implementation of the code of conduct were conducted at 30 units, but no violations were found.

Notably, during the period, inspections and checks on the regime and norms were carried out at 41 units, and 14 units were found to have errors, such as: Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Nuoc Trong Hydropower Joint Stock Company; Quang Ngai Agricultural and Food Products Joint Stock Company; People's Committees of Nghia Phuong, Duc Thang, Son Nham, Son Bao, Nghia Lam communes; Nghia Chanh ward... Thereby, it recommended handling of more than 3.74 billion VND of incorrect implementation.

In 2024, Quang Ngai province will verify assets and income for 41/42 cases at 9/43 agencies, units and organizations. Currently, the provincial inspectorate is completing the draft verification conclusion.

During the period, two cases showing signs of corruption and misconduct were identified and transferred to the police for investigation; no corrupt assets were recovered and no heads of departments were held accountable.

Regarding the results of investigations, prosecutions, and trials of corruption cases, the investigative agencies, the People's Procuracy, and the People's Courts continued to review 11 cases; including 4 new cases arising during the period and 7 cases carried over from previous periods.

Regarding the handling of responsibility for the head of the organization, a disciplinary decision was issued against a chairman of the commune People's Committee in the form of a warning.

In addition, during the period, anti-corruption inspections were conducted in enterprises and organizations outside the State sector for 4 units, discovering a number of shortcomings and limitations.
