One of the key indicators contributing to economic growth (GRDP) that the province is decisively directing is focusing on state budget revenue collection. The implementation of solutions is being concentrated by various sectors and localities from the very first days and months of 2025. This was observed at the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Regional Tax Office.
The Cam Thinh Industrial Cluster currently has nearly 120 businesses and households. After completing the recovery from the impact of Typhoon No. 3 (in 2024), all production activities of the units have resumed with a sufficient number of orders to ensure production and are expected to grow by 10-20% compared to previous years. This is an important condition not only for creating jobs for workers in the area but also for generating a stable source of state budget revenue to serve the socio-economic development of the locality.
Regular dissemination and guidance on tax policies by tax officials have contributed to ensuring businesses fulfill their obligations to the State. Mr. Tran Trung, Director of Cam Pha Mechanical Industry Joint Stock Company, stated: "Following signed contracts with partners, the number of workers at the company has returned to work since the beginning of the year. The company aims for revenue this year to exceed 15% compared to last year. During the company's operation, we have received enthusiastic support from the Tax Department regarding newly issued tax policies, enabling us to fulfill our obligations to the state budget in accordance with regulations."
In 2025, the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Regional Tax Office was assigned a revenue target of over 1,422 billion VND. Of this, 952 billion VND was assigned for revenue collection in Cam Pha City, 464 billion VND in Van Don District, and 26 billion VND in Co To District.
Despite the challenging economic conditions and the ongoing recovery of production and business activities by many units, enterprises, and households following Typhoon No. 3, the three localities have achieved their set targets thanks to the decisive and coordinated implementation of revenue collection solutions from the very beginning of the year.
By the end of the first month of 2025, the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Regional Tax Office had collected over 168 billion VND in state revenue, equivalent to 12% of the statutory budget estimate and 142% compared to the same period in 2024, a 9% increase compared to the revenue collection progress scenario assigned by the Provincial Tax Department for the month.
To ensure the highest possible revenue collection and contribution to local economic growth, along with supporting and nurturing new revenue sources, the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Tax Sub-department is focusing on solutions to combat revenue loss, expedite debt management, and enforce debt collection in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Regional Tax Department, stated: The tax revenue target for 2025 is primarily based on taxes and fees. Therefore, the department has developed a revenue collection plan that closely aligns with the specific characteristics and advantages of each unit and locality in terms of production and business activities each month. In Van Don and Co To districts, revenue collection will focus on months with vibrant tourism and service activities and high seafood production and processing; while Cam Pha City will strictly manage revenue sources. 2025 will also be a peak year for the department to implement specialized programs to combat tax evasion targeting certain groups of individuals and business households in the fields of e-commerce, retail, food services, and property rentals.
With determination and synchronized solutions to collect taxes and fees each month and quarter, and in coordination with relevant departments and localities in collecting land fees, the Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To Regional Tax Office strives to exceed the initial annual revenue target at the highest possible level.
