As reported by Lao Cai Newspaper, at around 10:00 AM on June 28th, Mr. Ly AP was wading across the Muong Hoa stream at the foot of the Su Pan 2 hydroelectric dam (Ban Ho commune) to set bird traps when he unfortunately slipped and fell into the water and drowned.
Upon receiving the information, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town directed relevant agencies and the People's Committee of Ban Ho commune to mobilize forces including police and military personnel , in coordination with local people and the family, to search for Mr. P.
At 7:20 AM this morning (June 29), search teams found the body of Mr. Ly AP in the Muong Hoa stream, about 1 km from where the victim fell.
Currently, the authorities are completing the necessary procedures and handing over the victim's body to the family for burial according to custom.
