Samsung W26 is a slightly upgraded version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable screen smartphone model. Although there are not many changes in appearance, W26 still scores points thanks to its super thin design of only 8.9 mm when folded and light weight of 215 g, providing a more comfortable grip than many devices in the same segment.
The W26 continues to use a convenient 6.5-inch external screen, while the main screen expands up to 8 inches - ideal for multitasking and entertainment. In terms of hardware, the device still retains the same configuration platform as the Z Fold 7, ensuring powerful performance and smooth handling of all tasks.

The most prominent difference between the Samsung W26 and the international version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the ability to connect to the Tiantong satellite - a mobile telecommunications system developed by China. Thanks to the integration of this technology, W26 users can make calls and send messages in emergency situations, even when the device does not have a mobile network or Wi-Fi connection.
This is a strategic feature, aimed at users who frequently travel to remote areas or environments with unstable network infrastructure, and is also a feature that does not appear on any international version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
In addition to the technological element, Samsung W26 also impresses with its design imbued with Eastern culture through two premium color versions: Dan Xihong - a blend of bright red and metallic gold tones symbolizing luck and prosperity; and Xuan Yao Black - black tones combined with gold details, evoking a sense of power and luxury.
In terms of configuration, the W26 continues to demonstrate its position as a top-of-the-line device with 16 GB RAM - standard equipment on both internal memory versions: 512 GB and 1 TB. This number is significantly higher than the 512 GB version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is only equipped with 12 GB RAM. This upgrade helps the W26 handle multitasking smoothly, while also meeting the needs of high-end users in a professional environment.
The Samsung W26 product box is carefully crafted, and comes with many high-end accessories. Users will receive a two-tone Kevlar case with a design that matches the device, a 25W fast charger, a USB-C cable, and a special card in cooperation with China Telecom - a detail that shows the product's orientation specifically for the Chinese market and high-end customers.
In terms of display, the new foldable smartphone is equipped with a high-quality screen with an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz, providing a smooth experience when scrolling and saving battery when displaying static content. The main screen's maximum brightness is up to 2,600 nits in HDR mode and the dual speaker system with Dolby Atmos integrates, elevating the entertainment experience, from watching movies to playing games.
The device runs on Android 16 platform, customized through the latest One UI 8.0 interface. Samsung also committed to 7 major operating system updates, showing its efforts to maintain a long product life cycle. In particular, the new foldable smartphone model also integrates some of the latest Galaxy AI features, including: Smart Collection, Smart Drag and Drop and Smart Password Manager.
In terms of photo and video recording capabilities, the Samsung W26 uses the same camera system as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, ensuring high-quality images in a variety of conditions. The rear camera cluster includes:
- 200MP main camera supports optical image stabilization (OIS)
- 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus
- 10MP telephoto camera, OIS support and 3x optical zoom
On the front, the device is equipped with a 10MP selfie camera, while below the folding screen is a hidden 4MP camera – suitable for video calls without interrupting the full-screen experience.
The W26 foldable smartphone supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second on all main cameras, except the 4MP camera hidden under the screen. In addition, the main camera also allows 8K video recording at 30fps, suitable for high-quality filming needs.
In the Chinese market, the Samsung W26 is listed at 16,999 yuan (about 63 million VND) for the 512 GB version, and 18,999 yuan (more than 70 million VND) for the 1 TB version. With this price, the W26 is in the high-end segment, targeting business customers or users who require unique devices with strong performance.
However, one regrettable point is that Samsung only released the new foldable screen smartphone model exclusively in China, with no plans to distribute it to the international market, which makes it difficult for many technology lovers in other countries to access it.
