The Samsung W26 is a slightly upgraded version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable smartphone. While there aren't many changes in appearance, the W26 still scores points thanks to its ultra-thin design of only 8.9 mm when folded and its light weight of 215 g, offering a more comfortable grip compared to many devices in the same segment.
The W26 continues to utilize a convenient 6.5-inch external display, while the main screen expands to 8 inches – ideal for multitasking and entertainment. In terms of hardware, the device retains the same configuration platform as the Z Fold 7, ensuring powerful performance and smooth handling of all tasks.

The most notable difference between the Samsung W26 and the international version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is its ability to connect to the Tiantong satellite – a mobile telecommunications system developed by China. Thanks to this technology, W26 users can make calls and send messages in emergency situations, even when the device has no cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
This is a strategic feature, aimed at users who frequently travel to remote areas or environments with unstable network infrastructure, and it's also a feature not found on any international versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Beyond its technological features, the Samsung W26 also impresses with its design, deeply rooted in Eastern culture, through two premium color options: Dan Xihong – a blend of vibrant red and gold, symbolizing luck and prosperity; and Xuan Yao Black – a black tone combined with gold details, evoking a sense of power and luxury.
In terms of specifications, the W26 continues to demonstrate its top-of-the-line status with 16 GB of RAM – standard on both internal storage versions: 512 GB and 1 TB. This is significantly higher than the 512 GB version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which only comes with 12 GB of RAM. This upgrade allows the W26 to handle multitasking smoothly and effectively meet the needs of high-end users in professional environments.
The Samsung W26's packaging is meticulously crafted, featuring numerous premium accessories. Users will receive a two-tone Kevlar case that matches the phone's design, a 25W fast charger, a USB-C cable, and a special partnership card with China Telecom – a detail that indicates the product's focus on the Chinese market and high-end customer segment.
In terms of display, the new foldable smartphone features a high-quality screen with an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz, providing a smooth scrolling experience and saving battery power when displaying static content. The main screen boasts a maximum brightness of up to 2,600 nits in HDR mode, and the integrated dual speakers with Dolby Atmos elevate the entertainment experience, from watching movies to playing games.

In the Chinese market, the Samsung W26 is listed at 16,999 yuan (approximately 63 million VND) for the 512GB version, and 18,999 yuan (over 70 million VND) for the 1TB version. At this price point, the W26 is positioned in the premium segment, targeting business professionals or users who demand a unique device with powerful performance.
However, one unfortunate point is that Samsung is only releasing the new foldable smartphone model exclusively in China, with no plans to distribute it internationally, which makes it difficult for many tech enthusiasts in other countries to access it.
