The incident occurred at 2:15 AM on the same day at the house of Mr. Bui Van Chon (born in 1963, Ma Mu hamlet, Cuoi Ha commune, Kim Boi district). The landslide buried three people under the rubble.
At approximately 3:15 AM, rescue forces successfully rescued DNTĐ (born in 2018, the victim's child) who was still conscious and had received on-site first aid from medical personnel.
By 4:45 AM, the remaining two victims were found, but they had already died.
The victims have been identified as Mr. DVN (born in 1984) and Ms. NTH (born in 1994), both residing in Doan Ket 1 Hamlet, Quang Tien Commune, Hoa Binh City.
It is known that the landslide occurred in a dangerous area. Prior to this, Mr. Bui Van Chon's family (the homeowner) had been urged to evacuate. At around 6:30 PM on September 11th, authorities checked Mr. Chon's house and found no one inside.
However, later that night, the three victims contacted Mr. Chon's daughter to visit and stay overnight at his house, where the unfortunate incident occurred. Currently, the Kim Boi District People's Committee is focusing on directing the resolution and remediation of the consequences.
