Specifically, the Department has proposed a Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students from January 23 to February 2, 2025 (ie from December 24 to January 5).

If the above proposal is approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh City students will have 11 days off during the 2025 Lunar New Year.

Previously, according to the school year plan of Ho Chi Minh City, the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday for preschool, primary, secondary and high school students is expected to start from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025 (ie December 26 to January 5), a total of 9 days off.

According to this plan, compared to many years ago, this is the year that students in Ho Chi Minh City will have the least number of Tet holidays. In previous years, students in Ho Chi Minh City had Tet holidays lasting from 14 to 16 days.
