Hai Duong Department of Transport stops accepting driver's license renewals from 4:30 p.m. on February 28.

Accordingly, the Department of Transportation will stop accepting applications for renewal or reissuance of motor vehicle driving licenses from 4:30 PM on February 28th to facilitate the handover of duties as per regulations.

On February 28, 2025, the department will only accept applications for renewal or replacement of driver's licenses that are valid for less than 5 days from the expiration date printed on the front of the license.

Previously, on February 26th, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province issued a decision transferring the functions and responsibilities of state management regarding the examination and issuance of driver's licenses for motor vehicles from the Department of Transport to the Hai Duong Provincial Police. The decision takes effect from March 1st, 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Director of the Provincial Police Department to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport (formerly the Department of Construction after reorganization) and other relevant departments, agencies, and units to carry out the handover and acceptance process, including procedures related to seals, other tasks, obligations, legal procedures, and to develop a specific plan for receiving the transfer to the Provincial Police Department for management in accordance with regulations.
