The Danang Innovation and Startup Festival (SURF) 2025 (July 29-30) is expected to have the participation of more than 30 speakers and domestic and international investors (Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, ...). Within the framework of the event, there will be an international investment forum with the theme "Blockchain and digital assets - Innovation in urban digital transformation and digital economic development in Danang".
Leaders of the City People's Committee and the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang visited the exhibition booths at SURF 2024.
This event continues to gather many big names in the field of technology and investment such as Quest Ventures, TRIVE, Fundgo... with the participation of technology unicorns in the field of Web3 and Blockchain; international organizations such as Swiss EP, Draper Startup House, universities, startup incubators and innovation support organizations from many countries and territories.
In particular, the SURF 2025 Startup Competition continues to be invested as a professional playground for young startups, aiming to find ideas and startup projects, develop talents, and create a breakthrough for Startup projects in Da Nang City.
After the qualifying round on July 4, the jury selected 10/31 projects for the final round including: eTelecom; Rally AI; EARTEM; NFC Connect; Enfue; LocalLife.Aisa; Coffee Market; TikTour.vn; AIVOS; LotusEase - Semi-automatic fresh lotus seed shelling machine. These 10 projects will be trained by experts, trained in presentation and supported with 1-1 consulting on July 17-18. The final round will be held on July 29.
Within the framework of SURF 2025, there will also be an exhibition on concentrated innovation activities and an update on the innovation exhibition on a virtual exhibition platform from July 2025 to December 2025 with about 200 booths. In addition, cooperation signing activities, seminars, capital calling pitching sessions, etc. will also take place at this year's event.
It is known that SURF 2024 has attracted 500 guests, 30 speakers, leading domestic and foreign experts from Singapore, Korea, USA, China...; more than 10 investment funds such as Touchstone, Quest Ventures, WeAngels, FUNDGO, and more than 300 booths (of which 200 booths are organized on virtual reality platforms).
SURF 2024 made a strong impression on the breakthrough of Da Nang's startup ecosystem. Notably, there were 9 startup projects participating in pitching and 16 memorandums of understanding signed directly at the event. In addition, the KNĐMST competition at SURF 2024 selected the 4 best projects.
Typical examples include the UCTalent project – First Prize SURF 2024, then continued to win third prize at the Global Vietnamese Business Startup Competition 2025 in the UK; BINKS – Vegetable Ink, from the second prize SURF 2024, rose to win first prize at SV_STARTUP 2024 organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. This shows the international competitive potential of the innovative technology projects from Da Nang.
