Temporarily suspending operations of FLC's apartment hotel block in Quy Nhon

On the morning of November 4, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh Province Police, said that a decision had been made to temporarily suspend the operation of the hotel apartment block of the FLC Sea Tower Quy Nhon project, invested by FLC FAROS Construction Joint Stock Company.

"This project has not been accepted for fire prevention and fighting, we have suspended operations so that the investor can fix it. Previously, this project was accepted but some items did not ensure safety," added Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang Tuan.

From September 2023 to present, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh Provincial Police and the police of districts, towns and cities in this province have conducted a general inspection of fire prevention and fighting and rescue safety for apartment buildings, multi-apartment houses, and rental service businesses with high population density...

Through inspection, the authorities discovered 11 units violating errors such as: not maintaining the operation of ventilation and smoke extraction systems... In some cases, at the time of approval, the design documents did not show the corridor smoke extraction system and vertical fire prevention solutions. Binh Dinh Provincial Police imposed administrative penalties on the violating units, with a total fine of more than 100 million VND.

Most of the projects in Binh Dinh province have been accepted for fire prevention and fighting. However, the FLC Sea Tower Quy Nhon project, which was approved by the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, has not been accepted.
