Specifically, Van Don International Airport and Cat Bi International Airport will temporarily suspend operations from 11 p.m. on July 21 to 12 p.m. on July 22. Noi Bai International Airport and Tho Xuan Airport will continue to monitor meteorological reports and propose appropriate adjustments to their operations plans.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to focus 100% of its human resources and equipment to ensure aviation meteorological forecasting at airports to promptly provide meteorological forecast information on the impact of storms.
In a dispatch issued on the evening of July 21, the Ministry of Construction requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to direct airlines to monitor weather developments and adjust or change flight schedules in areas affected by the storm accordingly to ensure absolute safety of flight operations.
In addition, the Ministry of Construction requires units to strengthen inspections of airports, terminals, communication systems, flight operations and command to promptly detect and handle incidents.
