Specifically, Van Don International Airport and Cat Bi International Airport will suspend operations from 11 PM on July 21st to 12 PM on July 22nd. Noi Bai International Airport and Tho Xuan Airport will continue to monitor meteorological reports and propose adjustments to their operational plans accordingly.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to focus 100% of its human and equipment resources on ensuring aviation meteorological forecasting at airports to promptly provide meteorological information on the impact of storms.
In a dispatch issued on the evening of July 21, the Ministry of Construction requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to direct airlines to monitor weather developments and adjust or change flight schedules in areas affected by the storm accordingly to ensure absolute flight safety.
In addition, the Ministry of Construction requires units to strengthen inspections of airports, terminals, communication systems, and flight operations and command to promptly detect and resolve incidents.
