Young racer Alex Sawer (Evans GP) continued to show his outstanding performance when he won all three races in round 2 of the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship (F4 Southeast Asia - F4 SEA) at the Buriram racetrack (Thailand).

In the two pre-event test runs, Sawer had the lead with a time of 1 minute 39.342 seconds and 1 minute 38.88 seconds, leaving his opponents 0.149 and 0.583 seconds behind. Entering the main race, Vietnamese-British racer Alex Sawer Hoang Dat excellently finished in first place in all 3 races. The first race took place on the morning of May 24 with 15 laps. Sawer quickly showed his dominance, almost "alone" on the track and finished after 27 minutes 52.152 seconds. The gap with the second-placed Asdathorn - the rookie of the Evans GP team - was 7.290 seconds. He was also the only one who followed the Vietnamese-American racer closely. Sawar's opponent, Asdathorn, was 8.622 seconds behind Sawer in third place.

In race 2 (14 laps), Sawer did not start from pole (starting first, thanks to the best result from the qualifying round) but took the lead at turn 4 of lap 3. He continued to show stability when taking the lead for race 3. The Vietnamese-American racer finished 10.609 seconds faster than the next person. The final race (15 laps) took place on May 25, the first two laps were led by the safety car because the road surface was wet. Sawer finished with 26 minutes 41.788 seconds, nearly 13 seconds ahead of the next person Asdathorn.

After 2 races in Malaysia and Thailand, Alex Sawer Hoang Dat also holds the fastest lap (the lap that a racer completes in the shortest time) for all 6 races, the best result in Malaysia is 2 minutes 9.722 seconds, Thailand is 1 minute 39.245 seconds.

Alex Sawer Hoang Dat's achievements helped him lead the 2025 season standings, with 188 points, creating an 80-point gap over second-placed Seth Gilmore (108 points) with the Evans GP racing team.

Alex Sawer Hoang Dat will continue to compete in Thailand. The third race will take place at Chonburi Racetrack from July 4 to 6.

The 2025 F4 Southeast Asia Championship has 5 races (3 races - Malaysia, 2 races - Thailand) and a total of 14 races. Each race has 3 races, except for race 3 in Chonburi (Thailand) which has only 2 races.

This tournament started its first season in 2016-2017. This is a regional formula racing tournament, organized according to the standards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). This is an important stepping stone for young racers on their journey towards higher tournaments such as F3, F2 and F1.
