On December 11-12, the Steering Committee for the Search, Collection, and Identification of the Remains of Martyrs in Tay Ninh Province announced that it had held a ceremony to welcome the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia; the K70, K71, and K73 teams searching for remains returned home, concluding the first phase of the search and collection of remains of martyrs who died in Cambodia, during the 2025-2026 dry season.

Over 34 days of search and recovery operations in Cambodia (from November 6th to December 10th), the three K teams searched for and recovered 180 remains of fallen soldiers.
During their mission in Cambodia, the K teams consistently demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and overcame all difficulties. In addition to searching for the remains of fallen soldiers, the K teams closely coordinated with Cambodian authorities and local governments to effectively carry out community outreach work, earning the support and approval of the Cambodian people. Through this, the K teams not only successfully completed their assigned tasks but also contributed to strengthening the friendship and solidarity between the two nations, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Colonel Nguyen Minh Tan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command, requested that the Command Boards of the K teams continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to complete the procedures for handing over the remains in accordance with regulations and prepare to organize a solemn and thoughtful memorial and burial ceremony for the martyrs' remains.
