Tay Ninh: Body found floating on Vam Co Tay River

At around 9:30 a.m. on August 19, Thanh Phuoc Commune Police, Tay Ninh Province received a report from local residents about the discovery of a watercraft drifting to the bank of the Vam Co Tay River, in Ba Luong Hamlet, Thanh Phuoc Commune.

Accordingly, the watercraft was a wooden boat about 4m long, covered with black composite on the outside, the rear rudder was broken. Upon inspection, on the vehicle were many personal items and identification papers bearing the name NTT, born in 1961, from Dong Thap province.

The victim's family was present at the scene, waiting for verification results from the authorities.

Immediately after receiving the case, Thanh Phuoc Commune Police organized a search around the area but did not find Mr. T. or the vehicle's engine.

Local residents said that no previous waterway traffic collisions had been recorded. The commune police continued to mobilize people to join the search and contacted Mr. T’s relatives to coordinate verification.

According to information from relatives, Mr. T. has no fixed residence and often travels by boat to cast nets. Since the morning of August 19, his family has been unable to contact him.

At around 9:00 a.m. on August 20, the search took a new turn when people discovered a body floating on the Vam Co Tay River, in Ben Ke Hamlet, Tan Tay Commune, about 700 meters from where the watercraft was found.
