In the month of July, Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 organized a series of activities to commemorate the heroic martyrs in Truong Sa special zone.
From Truong Sa island to island locations such as Sinh Ton and Song Tu Tay, incense and flower offering ceremonies at memorials and martyr memorial areas took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.

Hundreds of lanterns were released into the sea on the memorial night. The light from the small candles flickered in the waves, like a silent promise from today's generation that the sacrifice of their fathers and brothers will not be forgotten.
Along with the gratitude ceremony at the islands, Brigade 146 visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and relatives of martyrs in Khanh Hoa and Truong Sa. Each word of encouragement and each gift sent was an emotional connection between the rear and the front, between the present and the never-fading memories.

At the meeting to celebrate War Invalids and Martyrs Day held at the unit, Lieutenant Colonel Mai Quang Tien - Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 146 emphasized: "The sacrifices of heroic martyrs and wounded soldiers are the foundation for today's generation to move forward firmly".

Keeping the traditional source alive in peacetime
Not only in Truong Sa, gratitude activities have also spread throughout the Navy. Regiment 196 has organized many programs to care for officers and soldiers who are children of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers.
The Party Committee and the Regiment Command coordinated with the local authorities to inaugurate and hand over comrade houses to soldiers in difficult circumstances. In the context of many challenges in soldiers' lives, these houses of affection are not only material support, but also an affirmation: No one is forgotten, no one is left behind.

Mass organizations such as the Women's Union of the Regiment and the Youth Union at the grassroots level also proactively organized cleaning activities and offered incense at the Gac Ma soldiers' memorial - a place marking the tragic event of the modern Vietnam Navy.
Small actions that take place every year are the way generations preserve memories and beliefs, thereby firmly following in the footsteps of their ancestors on the path of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland.
