On October 23, 2024, the Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department held a conference to commend outstanding taxpayers of 2023.
Despite facing numerous challenges, in 2023, the total budget revenue collected by the tax sector reached 96.4% of the Ministry of Finance's projected target, totaling VND 9,814.5 billion. Of this, total revenue excluding land use fees reached nearly VND 5,500 billion, equivalent to 71.3% of the Ministry of Finance's projected target. Eleven out of fifteen revenue items exceeded their projected targets, and seven out of nine revenue-collecting units exceeded their targets set by the Ministry of Finance.
Implementing the Government 's policies to support taxpayers, in 2023, the entire tax sector extended value-added tax payments for over 800 businesses totaling nearly 440 billion VND, extended corporate income tax payments for 300 businesses totaling 37 billion VND, and reduced environmental protection tax for 4 businesses totaling over 450 billion VND.

To acknowledge and honor the significant contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs to the development of the province, and to encourage the business community to continue striving, overcoming difficulties and challenges, developing production, and successfully fulfilling the socio-economic development tasks of the locality, the General Department of Taxation and the Tax Department of Thai Binh province organized a ceremony to commend and reward 26 outstanding businesses with effective production and business performance and good implementation of tax policies and laws in 2023.

In the coming period, the Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department will continue to strengthen administrative procedure reforms, innovate and diversify forms of communication and support, focusing on providing electronic tax services to facilitate and reduce costs and time for taxpayers, contributing to improving the business environment and enhancing provincial competitiveness. It will also strengthen communication and support for taxpayers through the Tax Department's information channels.
