On November 19, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry announced that the government had joined the Global Alliance Against Poverty (GAHP), which was launched at the G20 Summit in Brazil.

Palestine stressed that participating in GAHP aims to increase its presence and protect the needs of the Palestinian people in international forums, especially in the context of increasingly challenging regions.

Joining the coalition demonstrates the importance of upholding international law and humanitarian law in preventing the use of hunger as a weapon of conflict.

Palestine affirmed its determination to eradicate poverty, promote human rights and build international partnerships for a more just and sustainable future. It wants the international community to pressure Israel to allow Palestinians access to food, health care and economic opportunities.

On the same day, the Palestinian Authority condemned the Israeli court's ruling allowing additional deductions from Palestinian tax revenues. The Palestinian Authority's communications office director, Mohammad Abu Rubb, said the country rejects the Israeli court's ruling on the new deductions, calling it an "illegal" action against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
