Thanh Hoa finishes site clearance for 500kV power line project

On May 30th, in a brief exchange with Nguoi Dua Tin (The Informer), Mr. Nguyen The Anh, Chairman of the Nghi Son Town People's Committee, stated that the family of Mr. Le Vinh Tri, residing in Tan Truong commune, the last household subject to land clearance, has agreed to relocate to make way for the 500kV power line project (500kV project) from Quang Trach ( Quang Binh ) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen). On the same morning, local authorities were assisting in dismantling and relocating the residents' belongings.

"Basically, from the beginning, the households were relatively compliant and agreed when informed about the relocation to make way for the project. However, due to some complications related to land procedures, along with the fact that the household heads are elderly, the process dragged on. Nevertheless, the provincial leadership showed great interest and provided guidance, the local authorities actively campaigned and disseminated information, and created the best possible conditions in accordance with the law, so the people agreed to relocate," Mr. The Anh happily informed.

Mr. Tri's family proceeded to relocate their belongings and hand over the land for the project.

On May 29th, Mr. Do Trong Hung, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Le Vinh Tri in Tan Truong commune who had agreed to relocate to allow the project to proceed on schedule. He also highly appreciated the efforts of all levels and sectors, the Party Committee, and the government of Nghi Son town in their efforts to publicize and mobilize the people to hand over clean land to contractors for the project's construction.

Thus, as of May 30th, Thanh Hoa province has completely handed over the land to the construction units for the 500kV circuit 3 power line project. This is also a commitment made by Thanh Hoa province in the implementation of this key project: to complete land clearance before May 30th.

According to Nguoi Dua Tin's investigation, in the 500kV circuit 3 power line project, Thanh Hoa province has the largest number of tower foundations and anchoring spans. Specifically, Thanh Hoa province has 299 tower foundation locations and 138 anchoring spans, along with 132km of power line.

Therefore, under the pressure of the project's tight deadline, leaders at all levels in Thanh Hoa province have always proactively and closely monitored and resolved difficulties to complete land clearance work on schedule, contributing to achieving the goal of energizing this key national energy project before June 30th of this year.

The 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line project is of great importance in strengthening the 500 kV North-Central transmission grid capacity, increasing the transmission capacity between the Central and Northern regions from approximately 2,200 MW currently to about 5,000 MW, contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the North both now and in the coming years.

The project has a total length of approximately 519 km, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen), passing through 211 communes and wards in 43 districts and towns across 9 provinces: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh , Hai Duong, and Hung Yen. The total number of pylons is 1,179, with a total investment of approximately 22,000 billion VND. It is expected to be completed before June 30, 2024, meaning it will only take about one year to complete.
