On June 3rd, the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police arrested Ngo Quang Anh (born in 1995, residing in District 12) on charges of "Extortion".
Earlier, on the evening of June 1st, detectives from the PC02 Department, along with the Go Vap District Police, conducted an administrative inspection of Hotel T. on Nguyen Van Khoi Street (Ward 11, Go Vap District) and discovered the suspect Anh coercing NTT into having sexual intercourse.
During questioning, Anh confessed that he had sent nude photos of Ms. T. via Zalo, demanding that she have sexual relations with him. If she refused, he threatened to post the nude photos online and send them to her family, but Ms. T. did not agree.
He and the evidence are at the police station. |
Ms. T. said she would give him a ring worth 120 million VND in exchange for him deleting her photos. However, he refused and forced Ms. T. to go to a hotel to have sex and fulfill his perverse demands in order to delete the nude photos and sex videos.
Upon arriving at Hotel T., Ms. T. gave Anh 10 million VND and asked him to delete the nude photos and sex videos of her. Afterwards, Anh noticed Ms. T. was wearing a metal ring and bracelet, so he asked her to take them off and give them to him.
Nevertheless, he still asked her for sex.
While Anh was "in the act," the police came in for a raid and discovered him. Upon checking Anh's phone, laptop, and tablet, the police found numerous sensitive images and videos of many prostitutes that he had secretly filmed, as well as many text messages soliciting sexual relations with various women.
The police determined that Anh operated through private groups and forums that were strictly secured and censored. The pimps and madams created these private groups, exposing full information and images of prostitutes for clients to choose from and arrange meetings.
However, Anh and some others used sensitive images of prostitutes to threaten, rape, and extort money from victims.
The police are requesting that anyone who is a victim of Anh report to the police or contact directly Officer Nguyen The Vinh, Deputy Head of the Major Crimes Team, PC02 Department, for guidance on how to resolve the matter.
