Overseas Vietnamese youth turn to the sea and islands of their homeland

On the morning of July 30, in Da Nang, Naval Region 3 coordinated with the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the program "Overseas Vietnamese youth and Ho Chi Minh City youth with the homeland's sea and islands".

Overseas Vietnamese youth from 17 countries participate in the summer camp "Pride of the Vietnamese people"

Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese presented support funds to fishermen's children.

More than 60 outstanding Vietnamese youths living and studying in many countries around the world visited and studied at the Traditional House, participated in training activities on warships and interacted with officers and soldiers of units of Naval Region 3.

Representatives of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City presented gifts to children with disabilities and serious illnesses.

The program presented 500 national flags to Naval Region 3; supported the fund to sponsor fishermen's children and gave 40 gifts, with a total value of more than 55 million VND, to children with disabilities and serious illnesses who are children of soldiers working at agencies and units of Naval Region 3.

This is part of a series of activities of the 17th Summer Camp for Overseas Vietnamese Youth and Ho Chi Minh City Youth in 2024 with the theme "Pride of the Vietnamese Nation".

Through activities to help the young generation of overseas Vietnamese improve their knowledge of history, national culture, love for the homeland, Vietnam's seas and islands and the contributions of officers and soldiers in the task of protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland. Practically celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first victory of the Vietnam People's Navy and the army and people of the North (August 2 and 5, 1964 - August 2 and 5, 2024).
