The competition for planning and architectural designs for the second phase of the Cham Sculpture Museum (in Phong Le) - Phase 1 (Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le District) aims to select the optimal planning and architectural design that is highly feasible, meets the requirements of planning, architecture, culture, socio-economic efficiency, national defense, security, and environmental protection, and preserves all excavated Cham relics in a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing manner.
Simultaneously, ensuring functional use in accordance with technical requirements, synchronously connecting technical infrastructure, and harmonizing architectural landscape with the surrounding space, creating a focal point and a unique characteristic of Cham cultural architecture for the area and Da Nang city, serving the needs of residents and tourists, and serving as the basis for implementing the design and investment in the project. The Cham Sculpture Museum Project, Branch 2 in Phong Le - Phase 1, is decided by the People's Committee of Da Nang city.
The competition for planning and architectural designs is open to domestic and international organizations and individuals; the registration deadline is January 18, 2024. The total prize and support value is 500 million VND; including 250 million VND for the first prize, 100 million VND for the second prize, and 50 million VND for the third prize. Support for designs that advance to the next round (Top 5 designs with the highest scores, excluding the 3 designs that advance to the third round): 100 million VND (20 million VND/design).
After the registration period ends, the preliminary round will be based on the profiles of participating organizations to select at least 3 design consulting firms with the appropriate qualifications, capabilities, and experience to invite to the next round of the competition. The competition organizer will notify the organizations and individuals selected to participate in the next round (the competition round) to present their proposed solutions.
In the selection round, organizations and individuals who have passed the preliminary selection process implement and submit their competition proposals within the specified timeframe. The competition council evaluates and selects the proposals based on the design brief, competition regulations, and the regulations of the competition council. The results of the competition are then forwarded to the organizing unit for reporting to the City People's Committee for approval and awarding of prizes.
