These days, the Hoi An Kien Su VR booth of Duy Tan University at the Education Zone - National Exhibition Center in Hanoi is bustling with visitors of all ages coming to visit and experience this unique and culturally and historically meaningful virtual reality interactive game.

Hundreds of comments when surveyed from players of all ages and professions, most of them are compliments: "Very real, like living in Hoi An in the game", "the ability of the young generation of artists and modern technology today is really talented", along with many comments "very happy", "very like", "great experience", etc. from students.

Hoi An Kien Su is a first-person interactive virtual reality experience developed by Click Studio at Duy Tan University. Players will use an Oculus Quest virtual reality headset to interact with the environment and play mini-games in a single session ranging from 20-30 minutes.
This technology product is associated with cultural preservation through games, recreating the ancient town of Hoi An with events, lifestyles, activities and cultural depth of more than 400 years ago, especially including the wedding of Princess Ngoc Hoa with Japanese merchant Araki Sotaro. In Hoi An Kien Su, players play the role of a time scientist , tasked with returning a 500-year-old jade bracelet to Princess Ngoc Hoa, while discovering legendary stories and unique cultural values of the ancient trading port of Hoi An during its golden age.

During the production process, the Click Studio team applied many global video game industry standard technologies such as Unreal Engine 5 along with typical technologies such as Nanite, Lumen and Blueprint to create high-quality images, realistic lighting and smooth gameplay. Optical motion capture technology (optical motion capture - optical MOCAP) was also used to recreate vivid and natural characters, saving time for animation.

The Hoi An Kien Su project does not “keep” players for a long time like many commercial games, but focuses on quality, short but impressive experiences. This is a game model that follows the “one-touch” direction with many emotions, where players only need one experience to remember an ancient, vibrant and profound Hoi An.

Not just a simple entertainment product, Hoi An Kien Su contributes to spreading the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage to the world. The product is also introduced to schools as an effective extracurricular activity, providing fun and useful learning time at a cost-effective price and ensuring safety for students.

Recently, Hoi An Kien Su was in the top 5 Best Projects at the GameHub 2025 Potential Vietnamese Game Project Search Program - an award within the framework of the largest annual game event in Vietnam, Vietnam Gameverse.
