Kinhtedothi - Foreign information needs to contribute effectively to the preparation and successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress. This is one of the contents of the training conference on foreign information work in 2025.
On the afternoon of March 8, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to organize a training conference on foreign information work in 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Van Hieu said that the current situation in the country, the region and the world is complicated. Therefore, foreign information work is especially important in the new situation. Vietnam maintains and ensures national interests, consolidates a peaceful and stable environment, and opens up a new situation for national development. Over the past decades, Vietnam's international position and prestige have been constantly enhanced and respected by international friends.
Notably, in recent major events, senior leaders of countries and international organizations have highly appreciated Vietnam's foreign policy, as well as Vietnam's stance in handling regional and international issues.
Regarding the orientation of foreign information work in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu said that it is necessary to effectively contribute to the preparation and successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Along with that, it is necessary to promote the propaganda of foreign affairs achievements during the term of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the process of national development after nearly 40 years of renovation. Propaganda work on the arrangement of the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operating effectively, efficiently and effectively in the spirit of the direction of the Central Committee and the Politburo; propaganda on borders, seas and islands, firmly ensuring independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, especially focusing on foreign information on the situation in the East Sea, the Southwest Sea, key strategic areas in the country and the region.
Foreign information in 2025 must closely follow and continue to effectively implement Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW dated June 15, 2023 of the Politburo on improving the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation. It is necessary to deepen the relationship between Vietnam and neighboring countries, major countries, international partners, and traditional friends, stabilize, substantiate, and sustainably develop; mobilize to take advantage of external resources to develop the country, promote the investment environment, focus on economic integration, promote cultural diplomacy, and affirm the value of Vietnamese people.
At the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Ky, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security - Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee on Human Rights presented the topic "Orientation and key tasks of human rights work in 2025".
Delegates also listened to Associate Professor - Doctor Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, present the topic "Some orientations for implementing foreign information work to contribute to promoting cultural values, enhancing national soft power and key tasks and solutions to improve the quality of international integration in the new situation".
