(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Nguyen Quoc Hoai (Thai Nguyen) is the top graduate of the Pharmacy program at Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Hoai was shocked and surprised that the teachers covered the entire textbook in just one lesson.
Even the top student felt overwhelmed when first entering university, fearing a particular subject.
Nguyen Quoc Hoai (born in 2000) was delighted to receive the news that he was the valedictorian of Hanoi University of Pharmacy with a GPA of 3.87/4.0.
The top student revealed that she initially had difficulty adapting to the new environment: "I was shocked and surprised that in just one lesson, the teachers covered the entire textbook."

Awakened and realizing he needed to change his study methods, the male student from Thai Nguyen spent a day rearranging his schedule: "I started with the smallest step, which was adapting to the new learning environment."
To avoid being overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge at university, I researched and prepared materials for new lessons at home beforehand. Simultaneously, when I had questions, I actively discussed them with lecturers and senior students. Thanks to this change in my learning approach, I gradually stopped feeling overwhelmed."
Despite achieving many perfect scores during his school years, Quoc Hoai also struggled with some "hard-to-swallow" subjects. The male student expressed that traditional medicine was the subject he feared the most because the terminology, theories, and methods from ancient Eastern times were quite difficult to understand.
Her mother is a farmer, her father is a teacher, and they raised her to be a top student.

Quoc Hoai shared: "Although no one in my family has ever pursued a career in medicine or pharmacy, they have all supported me, listened to me, and become a source of emotional support, helping me overcome difficulties during my studies and research."
During the college application phase, Quoc Hoai was quite uncertain about his options, choosing between computer science and science and technology. But after listening to his father's advice to study chemistry, a subject he enjoyed and that involved conducting experiments, Hoai applied to the School of Pharmacy.
After five years of diligent study, the male student successfully defended his graduation thesis with a score of 9.8. He shared: "After receiving the 9.8 score for my graduation thesis, I was informed that I was the valedictorian of the 73rd graduating class of the Pharmacy program."
My father was also present on the day I defended my thesis. As soon as I heard the news, I ran to share this joy with the man who has raised me for the past 23 years."
Nguyen Quoc Hoai shared that his father is a high school math teacher at Pho Yen High School (Thai Nguyen), and his mother is a farmer; he is the first member of his family to study pharmacy.
Although his family circumstances weren't particularly affluent, the love and nurturing of his parents instilled in Quoc Hoai a strong will and determination to study.
I dream of becoming an outstanding pharmacist and researcher.

In his thesis, Quoc Hoai chose to research "Preparation of flavor-enhancing pellets containing andrographolide nanoparticles and betaglucan nanoparticles".
The male student explained that nanotechnology is currently being actively researched and applied in many areas of life, including the pharmaceutical industry.
Nanotechnology has demonstrated its potential in improving the properties of pharmaceutical substances, such as solubility, the absorption of poorly soluble substances, and enhancing the effects of drugs when combining appropriate pharmaceutical substances.
Quoc Hoai believes that with new research on nanotechnology, he hopes this technology can bring about superior results compared to using traditional forms of medicine.
Under the dedicated guidance and instruction of Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thach Tung, a teacher whom Quoc Hoai deeply respects, I have completed my thesis.
"Although these research results are only promising initial findings, in the future, I will continue to study, improve my expertise, and turn these works on paper into reality," Hoai shared.

"I understand the significance of the healthcare work I've chosen. Therefore, my goal after graduation is to continue my studies and further improve my expertise; to become an excellent pharmacist and researcher," Hoai said.
