(NLĐO) – Strong demand for stocks was a positive sign in the February 5th stock market session. The market expects this positive signal to continue.
At the close of trading on February 5th, the VN-Index closed at 1,269 points, an increase of nearly 5 points.
The upward momentum from the previous session helped Vietnamese stocks gain ground in the morning session of February 5th. Short-term profit-taking by investors caused market volatility in the afternoon session. However, the pressure was not too great, and demand for shares emerged near the end of the session, helping the overall index to maintain some balance.
At the close of trading, the VN-Index settled at 1,269 points, up nearly 5 points, or 0.39%.
According to Rong Viet Securities (VDSC), the market continued to rise but remained volatile. Liquidity decreased compared to the previous session, indicating that while capital flows supported the market, caution prevailed as the index rose rapidly.
"The contentious situation will continue in the next trading session due to short-term profit-taking by investors. However, the market will continue to be supported by pullbacks and will have opportunities to move upwards towards the target of 1,280 points. Investors can take short-term profits on stocks that have risen to resistance levels, and consider short-term opportunities in some stocks with positive performance," VDSC recommends.
