However, according to the latest announcement from Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), Tien Linh will no longer be the top scorer. The reason is that in 14 goals scored by this striker, there is 1 goal that is not counted because it is an own goal of the opponent.

Specifically, after reviewing the tournament's professional data, the tournament organizers decided to reduce Tien Linh's goal by 1. That was the goal scored in the 90+3 minute of the match between Binh Duong Club and Hai Phong Club (round 25 V-League). Initially, the goal was counted for Tien Linh. However, after reviewing the video, the organizers counted this as an own goal from a clearance by defender Bui Tien Dung (Hai Phong).

So, Tien Linh has only 13 goals left. He is still the domestic top scorer, but this is not an official title, but only symbolic.

The V-League top scorer title will be awarded to striker Lucao (Hai Phong) and Alan (CAHN Club) at the V-League Award ceremony, taking place on July 1 in Hanoi .

Tien Linh has not been able to win the V-League top scorer title for the first time in his career.

The striker born in 1997 started this season well with 7 goals in 8 matches. However, Tien Linh could not maintain his form. In the next 10 matches, the 28-year-old striker only had 1 more goal. Tien Linh only returned at the end of the season, thus leveling the gap with the foreign duo Lucao and Alan.
