Receive and manage the operation and repair of Phu My 3 Power Plant

Mr. Truong Van Phuong, Director of EPS Company (middle) received the Official Dispatch assigning the O&M task of Phu My 3 Power Plant.

Phu My 3 Power Plant is one of the first power plant projects in Vietnam invested in the form of build - operate - transfer (BOT), with a contract capacity of 716.8 MW. The project began commercial operation on March 1, 2004 for a period of 20 years and was transferred to Vietnam without compensation on March 1, 2024.

The Government assigned Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to take over, operate, trade, maintain and preserve the plant. With experience in managing, operating and repairing gas-fired power plants similar to Phu My 3 Power Plant in the Phu My Power Center, EVN assigned Power Generation Corporation 3 to manage, operate and repair the plant, in which EPS is the unit in charge of receiving, implementing the contract for managing, operating and repairing and maintaining the plant.

Power Generation Corporation 3 also requested EPS to promote, research, and apply technological solutions, ensure the availability of generators, meet the mobilization needs of the national power system, and effectively carry out environmental protection and social security work in the area.
