The Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park in Lao Cai city will have to be relocated to serve the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project. The total investment of the project is expected to be 203,231 billion VND, starting at the end of 2025.

To serve the site clearance for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project, the Department of Construction has coordinated with relevant departments, branches, and localities to review, survey, and plan to arrange 20 resettlement sites. Of which, 13 residential areas have been built, are eligible for arrangement, or have approved detailed plans; it is proposed to build 7 new planned residential areas, and at the same time combine the on-site resettlement plan for small households (or residential clusters). The resettlement plan is calculated to suit each locality, ensuring that people can soon stabilize their lives and develop the economy .
