The first "Green - Clean - Beautiful Medical Facility" contest was launched in August 2024 under the direction of the Ministry of Health , organized by the Health & Life Newspaper and the Department of Disease Prevention and Control, with the support of the Vaccination System and Long Chau Pharmacy.

In just a short time, the contest has received strong response from more than 2,000 medical facilities in 34 provinces and cities across the country, including both public and private health systems, from central to local levels.

The Organizing Committee awarded Third Prize to representatives of 5 medical facilities.

The emulation movement not only contributes to creating a friendly and positive medical examination and treatment environment but also significantly improves the working space, enhancing the spirit and solidarity of the medical staff.

Lasting from August 2024 to May 2025, the contest is a practical activity to concretize the Party and State's policies on improving the quality of people's health care associated with environmental protection and sustainable development.

With strict, scientific and objective evaluation rules and criteria, the contest consists of three main scoring parts: Medical facilities self-assess according to the set of criteria issued by the Ministry of Health; evaluation through videos reflecting the reality and initiatives implemented at the facility; and especially direct evaluation results from people through QR codes placed at the participating facilities.

The direct participation of patients and their families in providing feedback is an innovative highlight of the competition, demonstrating the openness and patient-centered spirit that is increasingly emphasized in the healthcare industry.

By the end of May 2025, nearly 350,000 people, patients and their families had participated in the assessment via the QR system.

Editor-in-Chief of Health and Life Newspaper, Journalist Tran Tuan Linh, presented flowers to Ms. Nguyen Bach Diep - Chairman of FPT Retail and General Director of Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System - representative of the contest's Sponsor.

These valuable responses are not just statistics, but evidence of a new approach to healthcare management, promoting service improvement based on the actual experience and needs of users. This is a clear step forward in digital transformation application, and reflects the determination to improve service quality of the entire industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan affirmed that green is not just about planting a few more rows of trees, but also about thinking about a sustainable medical ecosystem, saving energy, reducing plastic waste and linking medical examination and treatment activities with environmental protection.

Cleanliness is not only a space without dirt, but also an absolutely safe treatment environment, minimizing the risk of cross-infection. And Beauty is not simply an aesthetic factor, but also the beauty of dedication, of a healing space, where the sick are physically soothed and mentally peaceful.

She also emotionally shared about inspirational models across the country such as Phu Tho Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital with its “healing park” model, Quang Ninh General Hospital with its scientific infection control process and clean environment, or simply the green bamboo rows at a commune health station in Ha Tinh, where the peace and closeness make people feel more secure when coming for medical examination and treatment.

The leaders of the Ministry of Health also acknowledged the active participation of the private health sector, demonstrating the widespread spread of the movement and the correctness of the policy of developing multi-sector health care, contributing to creating a healthy competitive environment and uniformity in service quality.

Besides the encouraging results, the Minister also frankly acknowledged the existing difficulties such as limited resources, cramped facilities in big cities, along with the increasing work pressure on the shoulders of medical staff.

“Today's award ceremony is not the end, but the beginning of a new journey with greater determination, more drastic actions and towards more comprehensive reform,” the Minister emphasized.

At the event, Ms. Nguyen Bach Diep, Chairman of FPT Retail and General Director of Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System, shared that the "Green - Clean - Beautiful Medical Facility" Contest is a very practical initiative and brings sustainable value when contributing to improving the quality of service at medical facilities, while spreading awareness of environmental protection in the industry.

For Long Chau, pharmacies or vaccination centers are not only places that provide medical products and services, but also places where people come to be listened to and cared for. Therefore, we always focus on building a clean, tidy, friendly and safe service environment, from the reception area to the operating process, drug storage and medical waste treatment.

Long Chau always strives to build a system of pharmacies and vaccination centers that are well-organized and provide dedicated service. I think that is a practical way to make every medical touchpoint civilized, friendly and trustworthy.

“I believe that when all units and individuals in the health sector work together, each small action, if carried out consistently and responsibly, will create great achievements, contributing to building a safe, friendly and sustainable health care environment for patients,” Ms. Diep said.

Also at the event, the Organizing Committee honored and awarded certificates to the 20 best medical facilities nationwide, divided into 5 levels: Central level, provincial level, district level (region), commune level and private medical level. Each level has 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 1 Third prize and 1 Encouragement prize.
