General Secretary and President To Lam attends the program 'Words Left Behind by the Leader'.

The program "Words Left Behind by the Leader" is an emotional journey, taking viewers back to the historic moments of 1965, when beloved President Ho Chi Minh began the first lines of the "top secret" document.

On the evening of August 30th, at Ba Dinh Square, the Central Propaganda Department and Vietnam Television jointly organized a special political and artistic program with the theme "The Words He Left Behind," commemorating the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament and the 55th anniversary of his death (September 2nd, 1969 - September 2nd, 2024).

Also present were members of the Politburo : Phan Dinh Trac, Secretary of the Central Committee and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda Commission; and Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee.

Also in attendance were Central Party Committee Secretaries Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Chief of the Central Party Office, and Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army. Also present were Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; leaders of ministries, departments, organizations, central and local agencies, and international friends.

Before his passing, beloved President Ho Chi Minh left behind for the entire Party and people a sacred Testament, his final written record, in which he entrusted his aspirations, will, beliefs, and responsibilities to the entire Party and people. This Testament is the culmination of noble moral and cultural values ​​and sentiments; it is the imprint of a brilliant intellect, a passionate heart, a patriot, a great leader, and an outstanding communist fighter.

For the past 55 years, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army have been united in their unwavering loyalty to the revolutionary ideals, studying and following the moral example and ideology of Ho Chi Minh, and fulfilling his sacred testament.

Fifty-five years have passed since Uncle Ho's passing, yet his thoughts, ethics, and sacred Testament continue to accompany, illuminate, and guide the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army in unwavering commitment to the great revolutionary cause to which he dedicated his entire life; determined to carry the victorious banner of President Ho Chi Minh to the ultimate victory.

President Ho Chi Minh's will, with its timeless value, not only influences generations of young Vietnamese people today but will forever be a source of inspiration for future generations of youth to learn from and follow the moral example, thoughts, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

Fifty-five years after the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's will and nearly 40 years of carrying out the reform process, under the leadership of the Party, our people have built our country to be "increasingly more decent and beautiful" as he wished.

Continuing steadfastly on the path to socialism as instructed in President Ho Chi Minh's will, the 14th National Congress of the Party is an important milestone, with future-oriented significance; continuing to comprehensively and synchronously promote the reform process, firmly protecting the Fatherland; striving to achieve the goal that by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding: Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high middle income; and by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the nation's founding, Vietnam will become a developed country with high income.

In 90 minutes, the program, divided into two parts, recalls history while affirming the core values ​​and important contributions of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament to the great victories of the Vietnamese revolution over the past half-century. The program also harmoniously combines meticulously produced documentaries with outstanding artistic performances.
