Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup cooperate to promote cultural and tourism exchanges

This is a platform for the two sides to coordinate in organizing large-scale events with strong Korean influences in Vinhomes urban areas, as well as promoting Vingroup 's products and services to reach the Korean community.

Under the cooperation agreement, the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup will coordinate to promote and organize cultural tourism events at Vinhomes destination urban areas nationwide, contributing to spreading Korean culture in Vietnam.

The two sides also committed to carrying out cultural and tourism promotion activities. Specifically, the Korea Tourism Organization will support the introduction of brands and products such as Vinhomes, VinFast , Vinpearl, Vincom, etc. to the Korean community in Vietnam as well as people in Korea in the future.

In contrast, Vingroup will cooperate with the Korea Tourism Organization to promote and develop the tourism reward sector in Korea.

The kick-off for the cooperation between the two sides is the Korea Travel Festa Festival and Summer K-Day Event taking place on May 25-26, 2024 at K-Town and VinWonders Wave Park, at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 urban area.

The highlight of Korea Travel Festa is K-POP and V-POP art performances, booths promoting tourism products and services for the Korean community and Hallyu fans; while the highlight of Summer K-Day is the explosion of “Korean-standard” fun and experiential activities.

The Korean mark is currently clearly shown in some Vinhomes urban areas, promising to become the leading residential and investment destination for the Korean community in Vietnam.

After Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, the series of cultural activities will continue to be coordinated by the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup to expand with increasingly improved scale and quality at Vingroup destinations nationwide, promising to bring attractive cultural, recreational and entertainment events to the community.

Mr. Lee Hak Ju, Deputy Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization, said: “Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam and Korea have achieved cooperation results in many fields, such as politics and economics.

In particular, people-to-people exchanges are very vibrant, with the number of tourists between the two countries exceeding 4 million in 2023 alone.

Through the signing of a cooperation agreement between Vingroup Corporation and the Korea Tourism Organization today, the two sides set a common goal of expanding exchanges and further promoting tourism cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries in the coming time."

The Korean imprint is currently clearly shown in some Vinhomes urban areas, creating "touch points" that attract the Korean community in Vietnam as well as Vietnamese people who love Korean culture, such as the "Korean street" K-Town at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, K-Park cultural park at Vinhomes Royal Island, KGS international school at Vinhomes Ocean Park 1, Vinhomes Grand Park...

In addition to infrastructure, Vingroup and the brands in the Group's ecosystem also regularly organize many entertainment, art, and culinary events with a strong "Kim Chi" flavor such as K-Day in K-Town, K-Food Fair, K-Festival in Grand Park... attracting tens of thousands of visitors, bringing special and meaningful Korean festivals.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup took place in the context that the two countries' governments have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, with special priority given to promoting cultural exchange activities, developing new tourism products, and promoting two-way tourist exchanges.

The Korean community in Vietnam is the 10th largest Korean community abroad in the world and the second largest in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is also the leading market in Southeast Asia in terms of the number of tourists in general and MICE tourists in particular to Korea.
