This provides a foundation for both sides to collaborate in organizing large-scale events with a distinct Korean flavor in Vinhomes urban areas, as well as promoting Vingroup 's products and services to reach the Korean community.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation between Vingroup Corporation and the Korea Tourism Organization aims to contribute to promoting cultural and tourism exchange between Vietnam and Korea.
According to the cooperation agreement, the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup will collaborate to promote and organize cultural and tourism events at Vinhomes' destination urban areas nationwide, contributing to the spread of Korean culture in Vietnam.
On May 25th and 26th, Vingroup also collaborated with the Korea Tourism Organization to organize a series of Korean festival events, including the Korea Travel Festa and the Summer K-Day event.
Both sides also committed to conducting cultural and tourism promotion activities. Specifically, the Korea Tourism Organization will support the introduction of brands and products such as Vinhomes, VinFast , Vinpearl, Vincom, etc., to the Korean community in Vietnam as well as to people in Korea in the future.
Conversely, Vingroup will cooperate with the Korea Tourism Organization to promote and develop incentive tourism to South Korea.
The collaboration between the two parties will kick off with the Korea Travel Festa and Summer K-Day events taking place on May 25-26, 2024, at K-Town and VinWonders Wave Park, in the Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 urban area.
The highlight of Korea Travel Festa is the K-POP and V-POP art performances, and booths promoting tourism products and services for the Korean community and Hallyu fans; while the highlight of Summer K-Day is the explosion of authentic Korean fun and experiences.
The Korean influence is now quite evident in some Vinhomes urban areas, promising to become a leading residential and investment destination for the Korean community in Vietnam.
Following Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, the series of cultural activities will continue to be expanded by the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup in collaboration, with increasingly improved scale and quality, at Vingroup's destinations nationwide, promising to bring attractive cultural, recreational, and entertainment events to the community.
Lee Hak Ju, Vice President of the Korea Tourism Organization, said: “Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam and Korea have achieved significant cooperation in many fields, such as politics and economics.”
In particular, people-to-people exchanges have been very vibrant, with the number of tourists between the two countries exceeding 4 million in 2023 alone.
Through the signing of the cooperation agreement between Vingroup Corporation and the Korea Tourism Organization today, both sides set a common goal of expanding exchanges and further promoting tourism cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries in the future.”
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vingroup, also shared: “With the active support from the Korea Tourism Organization, Vingroup will simultaneously implement cultural events, experiential activities, and outstanding services aimed at Korean customers and residents, as well as improve the planning of products and destinations to better serve the community.”
The Korean influence is currently quite evident in several Vinhomes urban areas, creating "touchpoints" that attract the Korean community in Vietnam as well as Vietnamese people who love Korean culture, such as the K-Town "Korean street" at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, the K-Park cultural park at Vinhomes Royal Island, the KGS international school at Vinhomes Ocean Park 1, Vinhomes Grand Park, etc.
Besides infrastructure, Vingroup and the brands within the Group's ecosystem also regularly organize many entertainment, art, and culinary events with a distinct Korean flavor, such as K-Day in K-Town, K-Food Fair, K-Festival in Grand Park, etc., attracting tens of thousands of attendees and creating particularly meaningful Korean festivals.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation between the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup Corporation took place in the context of the two governments having established a comprehensive strategic partnership, with a particular focus on promoting cultural exchanges, developing new tourism products, and boosting two-way tourist exchanges.
The Korean community in Vietnam is the 10th largest overseas Korean community in the world and the second largest in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is also the leading market in Southeast Asia in terms of both the number of tourists in general and MICE tourists in particular visiting Korea.
