According to Mr. Lee Hak Ju, Vice President of the Korea Tourism Organization , since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam and Korea have achieved significant cooperation in many fields, such as politics and economics. "Notably, people-to-people exchanges have been very vibrant, with the number of tourists between the two countries exceeding 4 million in 2023 alone. Through the signing of the cooperation agreement between Vingroup and the Korea Tourism Organization today, both sides set a common goal of expanding exchanges and further promoting tourism cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries in the future," Mr. Lee shared. Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vingroup, stated that with the active support from the Korea Tourism Organization, Vingroup will simultaneously implement cultural events, experiential activities, and outstanding services aimed at Korean customers and residents. "We are also perfecting the planning of products and destinations to better serve the community," Mr. Quang emphasized. It is evident that the Korean influence is quite clearly displayed in some Vinhomes urban areas, creating "touchpoints" that attract the Korean community in Vietnam as well as Vietnamese people who love Korean culture, such as the K-Town "Korean street" at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, the K-Park cultural park at Vinhomes Royal Island, the KGS international school at Vinhomes Ocean Park 1, Vinhomes Grand Park… Besides infrastructure, Vingroup and the brands within the Group's ecosystem also regularly organize many entertainment, art, and culinary events with a distinct Korean flavor, such as the K-Day in K-Town, K-Food Fair, K-Festival in Grand Park… attracting tens of thousands of attendees, creating particularly meaningful Korean festivals.| The signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation between the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup Corporation took place in the context of the two governments having established a comprehensive strategic partnership, with a particular focus on promoting cultural exchanges, developing new tourism products, and boosting two-way tourist exchanges. The Korean community in Vietnam is currently the 10th largest overseas Korean community in the world and the second largest in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is also the leading market in Southeast Asia in terms of both the number of tourists in general and MICE tourists in particular visiting Korea. |
