On December 13th, the Provincial Farmers' Association, in coordination with the Central Office of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, organized a conference to summarize the model for developing commercial chicken farming in accordance with biosafety standards in 2024 in Dong Thinh commune, Yen Lap district.
Overview of the concluding conference.
The model was implemented from August 2024 with 12 participating households. Participating households received support including 3,300 chicks, nearly 20 tons of feed, biological products, and training on poultry farming techniques and care for the flock at each stage. After 4 months of implementation, the chicken flock developed well, uniformly, with beautiful coloration, grew quickly, had few diseases, a survival rate of 98%, and an average weight of 2.5-3 kg per chicken.
Representatives from the Central Office of the Vietnam Farmers' Association and the Provincial Association inspected and visited households participating in the model of developing commercial chicken farming according to biosafety standards in Dong Thinh commune, Yen Lap district.
Through this model, farmers' association members are given access to new scientific and technical knowledge, guided in organizing livestock production in a biosafety-oriented and sustainable manner, and the model is replicated to achieve high productivity and good meat quality, meeting the demand for clean and safe food for consumers and contributing to raising environmental protection standards.
