Ha Long City starts essential infrastructure projects in highland communes

On the afternoon of December 28th, Ha Long City solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to invest in and renovate infrastructure in the central areas of Dong Son and Dan Chu communes, and the project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Dong Son commune. These are essential social infrastructure projects to promote socio -economic development and improve the quality of life for people in the highland communes of Ha Long City.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Investment Project to renovate infrastructure in the central area of ​​Dong Son commune and the Project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Dong Son commune.

The project to upgrade the infrastructure in the central area of ​​Dong Son commune aims to ensure environmental sanitation and drainage in the commune center, as well as safety for residents during traffic. Simultaneously, it will lay the foundation for the formation of an urban area on both sides of the main road with a modern architectural and landscape design, synchronized in architecture and technical infrastructure, and harmoniously blending existing landscapes with newly constructed areas. The project has a total investment of 20.2 billion VND. The project's scope includes: construction and renovation of 6 traffic routes with a total length of over 1 km; sidewalks, trees; rainwater drainage system, retaining walls; low-voltage electricity and lighting systems.

The central area of ​​Dong Son commune (Ha Long City) is preparing for the comprehensive investment in essential infrastructure to ensure environmental sanitation, drainage, and safety for the people.

The project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Dong Son commune is one of four rural clean water projects in Ha Long city that have been and are being implemented to achieve the target of 80% of rural households having access to clean water meeting current standards and the criteria for advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the communes; contributing to the successful implementation of the Quang Ninh province's rural clean water supply plan by 2025. The project has an approved total investment of 30.3 billion VND. The investment scale includes: a dam; a raw water pumping station; a raw water supply pipeline with a capacity of 500 m3/day; a clean water treatment area; a clean water supply network; and an electricity supply. The project implementation time is 180 days.

In Dan Chu commune, Ha Long City, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Investment Project to renovate the infrastructure of the commune center. The project aims to ensure traffic safety, environmental sanitation, and drainage in the commune center; and to lay the foundation for the formation of an urban area on both sides of the main road with modern architectural and landscape design, and synchronized architecture and technical infrastructure. The project has a total investment of 21.3 billion VND. The project's scope includes: renovating 3 traffic routes with a total length of approximately 1.1 km; sidewalks, trees; protective embankments and a rainwater drainage system, along with a low-voltage electrical and lighting system. The implementation time for the two projects is 180 days.

The implementation of essential social infrastructure projects in Ha Long City serves as a foundation and prerequisite for promoting the comprehensive development of the city's highland communes in all aspects of socio-economic life; improving the quality of life and living standards of the people.

The people of Dan Chu commune (Ha Long City) were joyful and excited at the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to invest in and improve the infrastructure of the commune's center.

The projects that have been launched also continue to clearly demonstrate the attention and investment of Ha Long City in the highland communes, where people are constantly striving to build a better life, moving towards realizing Resolution No. 78-NQ/TU dated January 2, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on prioritizing resources, exploiting potential, and promoting socio-economic development of communes until 2025, with orientation to 2030.
