The 324th death anniversary of Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh is a traditional annual activity, promoting the tradition of remembering the source of drinking water, recognizing the merits of Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh.
The shining example of Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh
Attending the commemoration ceremony for Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh were Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Ms. Pham Phuong Thao - former chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - vice chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan - vice chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, and Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep - secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee.
After offering incense to the National Ancestor Hung Vuong, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation, led by City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen, offered incense before the memorial tablet of Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh.

Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh (1650 - 1700), a talented general during the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu, was famous for leading troops to quell border rebellions on numerous occasions.
He is considered the general who expanded the southern territories, establishing Vietnamese sovereignty in Southern Vietnam in 1698.
From that point onwards, this land officially became part of the territory of Dai Viet, which is present-day Vietnam. He was instrumental in establishing the administrative system in the Southern region.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hong, permanent vice-chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City, stated that Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh was a shining example of patriotism and dedication to the people, contributing to the protection of Vietnam's territorial sovereignty under the Nguyen dynasty and determining the enduring existence of the southern land.
The 324th anniversary of the death of Duke Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh is an occasion for generations of descendants in Ho Chi Minh City to express their respect, gratitude, and honor to the heroic ancestors of the nation. From there, they continue the patriotic spirit and the glorious traditions of the nation.
