According to the Department of Education and Training, scammers impersonate admissions officers of departments and schools to contact, collect personal information or provide false information about primary school admissions.
The subject may call, asking parents to provide sensitive information such as bank accounts, OTP codes or unofficial charges.
The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that it will not proactively call parents about enrollment issues. All official information will only be published on the website: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn and the school website, or notified in writing through the school.

The Department of Education and Training recommends that parents be vigilant and not provide personal information over the phone or through strange links. If parents have any questions, they should contact the school and homeroom teacher directly.
Impersonation in student recruitment is not new. In April, many schools and districts also warned about scammers impersonating school administrators, calling to request confirmation of level 2 identification codes and luring parents to malicious links to steal their assets.
