Ho Chi Minh City: Strengthening propaganda to clean up land data

Ho Chi Minh City Police have just sent an official dispatch to departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones requesting coordination to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in cleaning land data, contributing to building a unified and transparent land database, serving digital transformation and improving the quality of public services.

Ho Tram commune authorities (HCMC) guide people to integrate land data into the VNeID application.

The goal of the propaganda work is to mobilize people to proactively coordinate with relevant agencies in updating and completing land information according to the criteria: "correct - sufficient - clean - livable - unified - shared", ensuring unity, synchronization, and conformity with the two-level local government.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, completing the land database will bring practical benefits to people and businesses such as: cutting administrative procedures; shortening the time to process procedures for granting certificates and registering land changes.

In addition, people's land and housing information will be updated accurately and transparently, protecting their legal rights and assets in the digital environment. At the same time, the cleaned data will be integrated into the VNeID application and the land information miniApp, making it easy for people to look up and use.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, after 1 month of implementing the campaign " Cleaning up the national land database" from September 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City has achieved many positive results, especially in consolidating the land database from 3 localities before the merger (Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , Ba Ria - Vung Tau), with more than 4,933,000 records of information on land users and home owners synchronized.

However, the data cleaning process still faces many difficulties due to the lack of consistency between land user information and related documents. Therefore, strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people to proactively review and update information is the current key task.
